TRAINS!!!

Trains! Trains! and more Trains!
Luca loves trains or as he calls them Choo Choo's. We went to the Ogden train museum and looked around and there were some trains that you could play on. Luca was also very interested in the rocks around the trains and as you can tell from the pictures he always had one in his hand or had just thrown one and was picking up another.

Easter

Luca is starting to understand some things; he has know for a while that makes messes is fun and that making messes with dad is even MORE fun. Nick and Luca had a ball dying Easter eggs and mom went around cleaning up all the spills. Luca was not satisfied on having his eggs one color, he had to have them all colors and mixed so many different times that they finally turned that weird brown color. We had to get him up early Easter morning because we had to drive Nick to the airport so he could catch his flight back to Alaska. Nick and I had to help him find and put his eggs in the basket because he just wanted to sit and play with the new toys that were left for him.

Luca's Birthday

We were so happy to have Nick home for Luca's birthday this year. He wasn't able to be home last year because he had to work and he was having a hard time getting home this year, trying to get rides to the airport and trying to catch planes; but everything turned out all right. On the morning of Luca's birthday we picked up Nick from the airport and I think that was the best part for Luca, he loves his daddy so much. Later we went to Boondocks and Luca got a free unlimited pass so he played miniature golf and had a ball, it was the funniest thing ever. He also played in the kid cove play area and played some arcade games. We got him some cupcakes and he blew out the candle. That night we had pizza and he went to bed tired and happy.
The next day we had the family over for cake and ice cream. The kids had fun playing in the playroom and it was neat to see Luca opening his presents and having cake and ice cream I feel bad because I don't have any pictures from his birthday just video, so my goal is to borrow Grandma Linda's camera and download some of the pictures she took, so pictures to come...

Grandpa Christensen's Visit

Grandpa Christensen called a few days ago asking if he could stay at our house while his SUV had some work done in Salt Lake and we told him we would love to have him stay with us. We picked him up at the repair shop, went home and changed Luca and then started having fun. Nick & Grandpa wanted to visit Hill AFB's Aerospace museum so we loaded up the car and headed out. It was a little cold and there was still some snow on the ground but the "boys" had so much fun looking and talking about the airplanes. Nick, Grandpa and Luca all seemed to have a good time. Grandpa only stayed for one night but I think that he had a good time.

Washington & Alaska Trip

We finally made it up to Washington to see Nick's grandparents, they had never met Luca and we were super excited because Luca is such an awesome boy that everyone should meet. We went to the farm in Graham and Grandma & Grandpa drove us around Graham to show us all the changes since we lived in Washington. We took Luca to look at the cows and after that we drove to Nick's uncle Lee & Christie's house and spent the night.
The next morning we flew up to Anchorage so Nick could attend recurrent training. Luca and I bummed around during the day while Nick was in class. After a week Nick was done with training so we flew up to Fairbanks so Nick could go to work. On one of the days he didn't have to work we drove to the hot springs and saw a bunch of moose. A few days later we say some moose in Nick's neighbors yard eating their trees. Luca and I headed back home and Nick came home at the end of his shift.
