The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series #2) - Rick Riordan

I really like the introduction of Tyson into this book.  It is so hard not to fall in love with her personality and how loving and trusting he is of Percy.  I was kind of annoyned with Anabeth for a while because of her treatment of Tyson but when things come to light you feel for her but wish that she could get over her past and accept Tyson for who he is.  I also love the sea ponies and the way they communicate to Percy about Tyson.  And all I can say about Grover is... Poor Grover!!!

My Grade: B+ (A for Tyson)

Overview:

When Thalia’s tree is mysteriously poisoned, the magical borders of Camp Half-Blood begin to fail. Now Percy and his friends have just days to find the only magic item powerful to save the camp before it is overrun by monsters. The catch: they must sail into the Sea of Monsters to find it. Along the way, Percy must stage a daring rescue operation to save his old friend Grover, and he learns a terrible secret about his own family, which makes him question whether being the son of Poseidon is an honor or a curse.
